Azta Ombre Makeover + Giveaway!!

$

If you remember my first ombre makeover circa February 2012, you would know that it was my first drastic hair colour and change ever! Like I mentioned there, I've always had jet black hair, so I wanted a change. Hence, the ombre look. But back then I went for a more brighter kind of ombre, which I think they call the Three-toned or Balyage Ombre. Forgive me, I kinda forgot which one of the two I got. >_< That's what happens when you get older! Haha!

*BEFORE-Ombre*

Nevertheless, Azta Urban Salon Pioneer was able to achieve the extreme change that I wanted for my hair and it was jet black no more!

Now back to 2014, I've been jet black again for quite sometime and I've had urges to colour my hair again. But again, I wanted something drastic, but not like the ombre before. I've been actually contemplating on Violet or purple hair for awhile now. As in I would watch Vlogs, read articles and research about it. I even ask my Hubby a lot if Violet hair would suit me cos I'm scared. But until when am I going to be afraid, right? He told me to go for it! Luckily, my blogger friend Hershey was just in the nick of time when she invited me for an Azta Ombre makeover last week!:) I immediately said, "Yes!" After all, I trust Azta! Thank you, Hershey love !:")

My "BEFORE" hair look :)

For this makeover, we went to the newest branch of Azta over at SM Jazz, Makati. It's a place I'm quite familiar with since I pass by it everyday, so it was easy to find. :) If you're not familiar with SM Jazz, it's actually near MAPUA Makati!:)

We were also welcome with cute cupcakes (which Athan gorged in a matter of minutes) our photo standees and magazines when we got there. So cute!:) If you wish, you also have a choice of hot or cold milk tea while you're having your makeover.

For my ombre makeover, the first thing they did was wash my hair and blow-dried, so the stylist can see my real hair length and texture and gage from there how to dye my hair. :) As you can see my BEFORE hair is already a bit longer than before and back to black. I'm really glad they didn't chop off my tresses for this cos at least I can allow my hair to grow more. :)

With this wonderful hair-day, I was with two other gorgeous bloggers Hershey and Jirbie. :)

*photo from Hershey* :)

From what I know, Hershey and Jirbie actually both got a Balyage Ombre a.ka. Bombre. Check their blog out to know more about their Azta ombre experience! :)

"A style that combines the wonders of Ombre colouring with Balayage painting, a relatively new freestyle highlighting technique which allows your stylist to create that soft, sun-kissed natural looking post-summer look. The effect is a subtle gradation of colour, with added sweeps of depth and dimension."

As for me, the girl who wants violet hair, I went for the Funky ombre!

"Take your hair colour a notch higher and pick from Azta's palette of funky shades. Make your statement. All you need is a good sense of fun, an eye for interesting colour combinations, and a boost of confidence!"

And that's exactly what I did! Since the shade of purple is one of my favourite colour (obviously it's one of my blog's colour scheme), I might as well jump in!

The first process of dying my hair was to bleach the ends. Since I wanted the colour violet, bleaching the ends was a must. I, of course knew this already since I've been researching about "How to dye your hair purple and it's effects." If you have dark hair and want a lighter shade, you really can't avoid bleaching, because the colour will just not show as much without this process. This step took some time, because they had to keep bleaching the ends till they got the yellow shade that would be able to accommodate the violet dye. I think a total of one hour and 20 minutes?

And once the bleaching process is done, it's now time to go for the VIOLET dye!!! I feel like HIT-GIRL here. You know her? The super hero that Chlöe Grace Moretz played in the movie Kick-Ass. I felt like that for a good 20-30 minutes haha!^_^

Finally after washing the dye out...

If you're wondering if bleaching the ends of my hair got it super dry, no it actually didn't!:) It still feels like it did before dying it violet. I also got a special Davines shampoo from Azta to maintain the colour.

This ombre makeover is just LOVE! I'm beyond happy with the turnout! Thank you so much to the Azta Urban Salon Jazz Team for the awesome experience! Especially to my stylists- Ms. Ira, Sir Cris and Ms. Meg Lachica!:) My hair wouldn't be this amazing without your care!:)

And since I am beyond happy, I want to share my happiness with you guys as well!:) Yes, you heard it right! Azta Urban Salon also wants my readers to have an ombre makeover! How awesome!! Thinking out loud

$

Ever since I coloured my hair violet, I have gotten a lot of good reactions with it, even my mom! That alone is surprising! Haha! And it made me really happy I went through with that decision since I've always wanted to have a different hair colour. :) Now, everyday it has made me question more all the things that I wanna do and achieve in life. I have an endless list in my mind; some I remember, some I don't. But often times I try to write them down on my notebook and simply call it my BUCKET LIST. :)

I'm sure you all have your own version of a Bucket List. Like some do a list of things they wanna achieve in a year and the others create a list of things they wanna do before they die. It's the easy. The only difficult really is how to check the items on your list. Often times we get lazy, we try to put it off another day or we simply think it's not possible for the mean time to accomplish our Bucket list. But until when are we gonna hold back, right?

I'm in my 20's and soon enough (specifically 5 years), i'll be 30. I don't think I wanna wait until I'm in my 30's to go for all the daring things that I want to do NOW. I wanna be able to take charge and go for it! After all, waiting just increases the agony and regret. My new goal is to try and lessen my "WHAT IF's?" and be more of a "I did it!" kinda person. It's time to stop wondering what i'll do for the rest of my life and start making things happen!

Your list doesn't have to be filled with difficult things. It can be as simple as wanting to drive a car or going on a road trip with your friends. It's want YOU want. That's the best part of making the list. :)

Care to see mine?:) Read more >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Some of the things I was able to achieve in my Bucket list:

[] Conquer my fear of heights and bungee jump off a 40 feet tall structure
[] Get married-Civil
[] Eat at Sakae Sushi
[] Divisoria trip with the BFFs
[] Attend a Holi-Festival of colours Celebration
[] Learn Archery
[] Dye my hair purple
[] Ride a vintage VW Beatle car

A few of the things that I want to accomplish in my Bucket list (in no particular order):

[ ] Travel with the Husband and kids (can be domestic or international)….
[ ] Gain 105 pounds
[ ] Attend craft classes (rubber stamp making, water colour, etc.)….
[ ] Get a small tattoo on my right wrist
[ ] Attend a fondant/baking class
[ ] Go to the National Museum with the boys and my best friends
[ ] Graduate college
[ ] See Athan graduate from Kinder 2
[ ] Have my dream church wedding
[ ] Volunteer at an orphanage/senior housing
 [ ] Paint on canvas frame again…
[ ] Play Tennis again…
[ ] Swim with dolphins
[ ] Go to Italy and make a wish at the Trevi Fountain
[ ] Attend/see the Hot Air Balloon Festival at Clark Pampanga

These are just a few that I have on my notebook. It's longer there, but I wouldn't wanna flood you with them. If you're not the notebook type, maybe you can also do your Bucket List via the internet. :) Here's a great site to do it at: http://bucketlist.org :)

Making a list can also boost your energy when it comes to life. You have so much to look forward to and enjoy. :) Don't waste the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years wondering what you'll do and if you can do it. Just keeping trying and I'm sure you'll be much happier crossing out stuff from your bucket list! Like me! Hello violet hair!! ^_^

Mystical Florals

I'm really happy to be updating another OOTD in just a span of two days. It's rare that I get to post more than two OOTDs in a month, so I really can't thank my blogger sisters Ana, Arnie and Christine enough for taking the time to take my photos. :) I owe it to you, gals!

So, I'm calling this look Mystical Florals, because it's what I wore to the Mystical Pandora launch last Thursday. I actually got this dress for almost a month already, but I saved it for the perfect time to wear and for me that was Pandora. I'm absolutely in love with the print. It's colourful and classy. But there's one thing i'd like to change a little about this look.

Can you guess what that little change is?

If you've been reading and looking at my past OOTDs with me wearing heels, you would notice that I wear this pair a lot. Well, it's either this pair or my nude one. They're both kinda my staple heels for almost all ensemble and I tell myself, I am in dire need of new heels!! >_< My goodness! I've been abusing them too much and I think they're gonna give up on me pretty soon. :(( Sigh.. It's so difficult to part with your favourite pairs of shoes. But every girl needs a new pair, so that's the bright side!^_^

I haven't had the time to go to the mall though and scout for the perfect new heels, so I decided to look at the big range of footwear over at http://www.zalora.com.ph/primadonna/ :) They have the cutest pairs of shoes from flats to heels! I actually got sidetracked; told myself I'm looking for heels, then I also end up looking at sandals! Yikes!!>_<

But seriously, how can I resist these? Love at first sight!^_^

Another store that I'm looking at aside from Zalora is SO FAB. They have a wide selection of wedges that could be great for events. :) If you have other shoe store suggestions, please feel free to let me know on the comment box below! Would love to look at them!

Dress: Shop Clotle
Necklace: Sm Accessories
Heels: Suiteblanco

Oh BTW, this is actually my first OOTD with violet hair!:) The other one below is the second. :)

But do know I super love these old heels of mine. I thought the colour might me hard to pair with my clothes, but I was wrong. I was able to use to over and over. Hence, I need a new pair cos this one needs a break! So, while I'm shoe searching, this will still be my favourite and trusty event heels!:)

It's almost Friday!!!:) Can't wait for the weekend! Don't forget to join my ongoing giveaways!!

Ready Set Laban!

$

As soon as I had Athan in my life, I vowed that I would be there for him no matter what, support his endeavours and make sure he's always happy. I guess that's what every mother wants for their child. Though it wasn't all that easy, because there are times that Athan would get really sick and I would feel helpless, but a mother never gives up and tries everything to get her child better. Another thing that would bother me is how much of a picky eater he is. He doesn't get the proper nutrition that he needs and that just makes it a whole lot easier for him to get sick.

Fortunately with the help of his Paediatrician, vitamins and especially milk, I can be less worried about him be picky and concentrate on raising him a happy child. :) A part of raising a happy child, you need to have fun activities with him!:) So, last Sunday, Athan and I went to the Glorietta Activity Center to attend the Ready, Set, Laban Season 2 event of Bonakid.

The event was open to mommies with kids age 4-7. :) Since Athan is 6, it was perfect!

Just seeing the entrance, Athan was already ecstatic on the fun activities he could do inside. :) I myself was curious and tagged along with him.

The kids had the whole activity center to roam free and just play. :) Athan enjoyed the fun bounce a lot!

I believe there were also cool Bonakid prizes for the kids who played at the fun bounce and if they joined the games that the wonderful hosts of Bonakid were conducting. Funny thing is while Athan was playing inside the fun bounce, we randomly got selected to play at one of the games on stage! haha!

So here I am, trying to explain to Athan how the game will go. :)

Finally when he was able to get the instructions, we were grouped into Team A, B and C. :) Athan and I were grouped with the lovely mommies who had their A-game on of Team C! Yey!

The objective of the game was to get more than 13 balls into the circle, because the previous team was able to get 13 in. We had to beat that number in order to win it.

With Bonakid host Drew Arellano :)

I believe in order for your child to be successful in anything that they wanna do, you simply must support them. If they tell you they can do it, trust them and if you encourage them enough and show them how much you believe in their capabilities, they will go far. Even as small as cheering for them in a ball game, like what I did. For sure, they will feel 10x happier and definitely come out a winner no matter what challenges they face.

True enough, with all the encouragement we did, our team won the game!:) Yey!! I personally didn't win anything cos the prizes were for the kids. But seeing Athan so giddy and proud and telling me he was able to get two balls in the circle was more than enough for me to also feel like I won an award. :) It's true that the simply joys of a mother or parents is seeing their child healthy and happy!

After the game we joined there were more new ones that other mommies and kids could join. It was so much fun to just watch the kids and how cute their reactions were. There should be more events like this that encourage family bonding, playtime and health tips for everyone. :)

BTW, they're also having an ongoing audition for the Bonakid Pre-School Ready Set Laban Season 2!

Bonakid is Athan's current milk and I can say it has helped him a lot to cope with his eating habits. :) I can definitely see progress. :)

This event was really a fun-filled day for Athan and I. :) If you also want to experience this with your kids, you can go to the following venues and dates:

SM City Davao Event Center on September 21
Ayala Center Cebu Activity Center on September 28

For those who cannot go to the venue, you may join online at www.gmanetwork.com/promos/readysetlaban to submit your audition videos

https://www.facebook.com/BonakidPreSchoolPH

That's it!:) Always remember, Ang batang healthy ay happy!^_^

I.N.O.X. The Highest Quality Standards

$

Victorinox, a company with the status of a national treasure in Switzerland because of its most legendary product-- the Swiss Army Knife-- is celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2014. To mark the occasion, Victorinox Swiss Army has created I.N.O.X., a new watch that pays tribute to the history and industrial know- how of the brand by showcasing the values that have made it famous: authenticity, strength, quality, expertise and Swiss design.

The name I.N.OX. comes from the French word for stainless steel, the solid, durable and corrosion-resistant material that Victorinox adopted more than 50 years before it became the norm in the Swiss watch industry. Marking a shared link between cutlery and watches, I.N.O.X. is as iconic as the Original Swiss Army knife. A concentrate of Victorinox's DNA, it represents nothing less than the very quintessence of the brand.

Designed to withstand unusual stress, it has passed with flying colours a ruthless battery of 130 strength tests. The number, 130 was not chosen randomly. Beyond the standard certification tests of the  Swiss watch industry, a series of new tests was developed specifically for I.N.O.X. They reflect Victorinox Swiss Army's passion for pushing boundaries and imposing new rules on resistance.

The watch was represented by three men with one of the most rough jobs in the world and how the watch matches their lifestyle-- Andrew Wolf, John Spainhour and Marc Nelson. You can definitely see how rugged yet classy it looks on them. :)

Some of the I.N.O.X. tests were so insanely extreme they merit special mention.

*glacial cold. The watch will function non-stop and without complaint, been when frozen in an ice cube for 168 hours;

*8 tons compression under a hydraulic press; I.N.O.X. can also resist being driven over by a truck of 25 tons or a military tank weighing up to 64 tons

* temperatures shocks from -50 to +71 Celsius. This corresponds to the standard set by the US Army for the manufacture of missiles. Nothing comparable exists in the world of watchmaking;

*salt spray corrosion or chemical attacks by all kinds of fuels, oils, solvents, cleaning products, insecticides…including sulphuric and nitric acid solution. Again, a standard not for watches but for the military; borrowed from the US Army;

*a fall of 10 meters onto a smooth concrete surface. This is the equivalent of a drop from a 3-floor building, with an impact speed of 50km/hour;

There are more crazy tests that the I.N.O.X. has passed than the ones mentioned above. I'm a girl and obviously this watch is for the guys, but I can't help but envy the men for being able to have such a watch!

Given I.N.O.X.'s extraordinary robustness, one would expect it to look like a bunker. Its elegance, however, is apparent at first glance. The refined design of the 43 mm stainless steel case is enhance by a  skilfully  polished hexagonal bezel. Available in three colours (black dial and strap, khaki green dial and strap, navy blue dial and strap), it can be further personalised with a bumper. Office, mountain, leisure and evening, nothing beats the I.N.O.X. for versatility: it can be worn anywhere, anytime.

I.N.O.X. will change your perception of quality and functionality. Its primary functions are telling time and the date, yet its robustness, craftsmanship and style, make it the rightful heir of the famous Swiss Army Knife, and thus your perfect "companion for life."

The watch is already available this September 2014. :)

All Things Hair

Your online source for hair solutions and inspiration has finally arrived.

Last September 18, All Things Hair officially launched in the Philippines, the first in Asia.

All Things Hair constantly looks at top hair-related Google searches online and responds by creating video tutorials that suit Filipinos and their hair needs. Just launched in the UK and in Canada, ATH collaborated with the top Filipino vloggers to provide unique and personalized hair advice for modern day Filipinos.

“As much as we Filipinos turn to international video bloggers for advice, with our weather, our products, our hair type and other factors affecting our hair, solutions from other countries aren’t as tailor fit for us. Hair requires a lot of personal care,” said ATH contributing editor and beauty expert, Agoo Bengzon.

Congratulations to my blogger friend Angela for this wonderful collaboration with ATH and the successful launch last September 18!:)

Laureen Uy

Dedicated to addressing hair solutions, ATH is a collaboration between Google, the world’s biggest search engine, global hair brands, Dove, TRESemme, Toni & Guy, Cream Silk, Sunsilk and Clear, and the Philippines’ top vloggers: Angela Nepomuceno, Kelly Misa, Laureen Uy, Nicole Andersson, and James and Phil Younghusband.

“Everyday thousands of Filipinos search for hair tips, tutorials, styles and inspiration. What better way to address them than to collaborate with the world’s top vloggers and hair brands to form an online destination for hair solutions and inspirations,” said Thomas Poulain of Google Philippines.

In an information age where beauty solutions can be accessed in an instant you could very easily tune into a tutorial on Youtube to learn anything from fashion and makeup, to DIY projects. However, with so much information available online, it can be hard to find the answers that you’re looking for. ATH simplifies everything by making it easy to find solutions to your hair needs.

Apples Aberin, PR Head for Unilever brands said, “At Unilever we are always looking for ways to reach out to our consumers and come up with solutions for their every problem. We feel that this new video platform is a really great way to do it.”

Aside from housing hair tips, tutorials and inspirations, ATH also recommends products, provides their information, and also enables you to purchase them on the channel.

First & Forever!

When Forever 21 first opened here in Manila, I remember Megamall's 2nd level was filled with so much people that you don't know where you'll walk. It was one of the biggest fashion event that happened to Manila in 2010 and I admit that I really lined up with everyone else to be able to see what's inside the store and buy even just one item. I didn't mind! True enough, the excitement of everyone was  real and lining up was worth it. I went out with the smallest bag compared to other people with huge ones, but I was a happy girl toting around my tiny bag filled with the prettiest necklaces. You can read that HERE. :)

Now, four years has passed and I together with my blogger friends have actually been supporting the brand for that long. It's truly a pleasure seeing the brand grow and become a household name- with 9 stores spread across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and another one fast on its way within 2014.

But like they say, change is inevitable and change, as with all things in the fashion world, was always in the offing. Now Forever 21's SM Megamall flagship store receives a sophisticated and streamlined makeover, reflecting the brand's new international look.

The reopening was hosted by none other than the sophisticated lady herself, Martine Cajucom.  There was a game for the bloggers and three pairs were chosen to style their respective partner with the Fall 2014 collection of Forever 21. The winner for this challenge was Rhea Bue and Yuki Tansengco. Congrats, girls!!^_^

We also got a glimpse of the beautiful clothes that they had with a short fashion show.

The little girls are soooo kyot!! I wanna take them home!! haha! frustrations of a mother with two boys!>_< I love my boys!

Before going around the store, I just had to take an obligatory twin OOTD with my beb Ana! For the record, this was not planned! We were actually surprised that we came in the exact coloured outfit! But cute!^_^

top: urban apparel | pants: suiteblanco | sandals: topshop

Gone are the ornate Lucite chandeliers and pattered walls; in their stead, fresh white walls with splashes of black, touches of whitewashed wood and brick, and industrial-inspired shelving provide a clean and chic state underscoring the veritable fashion playground for which Forever 21 has become known. A glimpse into its newly-renovated Megamall store provides a clear overview of the brand's offerings, with neon signs demarcating each collection.

Customers can also look forward to a more varied selection of items covering a multitude of trends, from boho chic to normcore to understated elegance. With fresh takes on partnerships with Keith Ha ring, Jean Michel Basquiat, NBA, and Mattel, Forever 21 shoppers can literally wear their hearts, hobbies, and interests on their sleeve.

I actually did a little shopping already at the reopening and there were so many nice stuff!:) I found cute accessories that I never saw before and I finally got the bag I wanted on sale! Yey!:) You better go and check them out this weekend! Based on experience, sizes of shoes are running out fast!>_<

I had such a great time yesterday! Thank you, ARC PR and Forever 21 for inviting me!:) Cheers to your successful reopening! We love you! Sincerely, your blogger friends/F21 fans!

Oh BTW…

Shop Forever!
Forever 21 partners with MasterCard this season for Shop Forever, a raffle promotion to gear up MasterCard holders with a chance to win any hardcore shopper’s dream: a wardrobe in Forever 21’s latest collection. A minimum single-receipt purchase of Php 2,500 with a Philippine-issued MasterCard gives the cardholder (1) e-raffle entry for a chance to win a Php 21,000 shopping spree at Forever 21. Manila field trip

There are so many nice places here in Manila that I think some people take for granted. I guess if you go through the hustle and bustle of the MRT/LRT rides, long commutes, horrid pollution and bad governance, you wouldn't think there are such places. But if you look hard enough, you will. :) You just have to be positive about certain things and believe that there are still great things about our country! I'm sorry if I sound too patriotic haha!

Last week, my boys and the BFFs had a little field trip around Manila. Our first stop was the National Museum. The last time I went there was 2010 and that was for a school requirement. The N.M. wasn't that good looking back then. If I remember correctly, it was hot and humid. Now its improved quite a lot and did you know you can get inside the N.M. for free every Sunday?:) I find that awesome!

That being said, it was the perfect day for us to go to the museum. Less people, no entrance fee and it was a great day to immerse ourselves in art!

Here's a photo diary of how our day went...

For parents, this is a great way to start educating your kids about art and even a way for them to discover and love it. :) At first I thought Athan wasn't interested cos he kept spinning and just walking and walking. But after awhile, I actually found him starring at a certain painting for almost 5 minutes. I was amazed. :) Asher on the other hand already showed his interest from the very beginning by pointing at paintings and sceptres and uttering, "Mommy! Pum!" every time he pointed hehe. :)

I am amazed at how talented Fernando Amorsolo is with sketching. He can sketch the tiniest detail so precisely! No wonder he's a national artist!

It's cool how every gallery we transferred to had a different colour; blue here, orange the next and then green!

This is The Old House of Representatives Session Hall a.k.a. The Hall of the Masters. It's amazing to be in the building where the Commonwealth Congress used to be housed in the 1930s. I love the architecture!

The Vicente Manansala gallery...

Ahem! Ano toh???

Manansala was a known Filipino cubist painter and illustrator. He's also one of our National Artists and he's my favourite!:)

The only downside to our visit was that some of the galleries were still being fixed and that the 4th level was closed. Maybe they're still trying to fix things. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our visit!

Since we had more time after our museum tour, we opted to go to Fort Santiago. :)

This time, we had to pay an entrance fee. But it's only Php 75 each. Unless you have your student's ID like me and will only have to pay Php 50. :) It's open till 6pm.

They also have a "kalesa-like" tour of the whole Fort Santiago, but I don't recommend this cos it's Php 500 per head! Per head!-_- We actually enjoyed it just by walking ourselves and reading the signs. :)

The entrance to where Jose Rizal was imprisoned.

Standing with my boys and BFF where Rizal's footsteps ended. Of course he didn't stop walking. But the metal plated footsteps just ends at this gate. :)

Obligatory tourist shot! haha!

We went to the Jose Rizal museum where we saw where he was imprisoned, old clothes of his and stories about his life. Unfortunately, it was too dark to take photos and flash photography wasn't allowed, so I had to settle with places inside the museum that had light.

Athan and I make good Illustrados noh? But I think I'm more of the rebel cos of my coloured hair. Hehe!:)

This is my first time at Fort Santiago. I've only been outside of it most of the time and I'm glad I went on this field trip with my best friends. I'm blessed to have friends who tolerate these kinds of adventure. :) To more of these!:) Gonna check another item of the bucket list! Just keep checking them off!!

Superdry AW14 Preview

Despite the bipolar weather and it raining hard halfway to my destination, I still pushed through with my agenda tonight and I'm glad I did, because I was able to see the official Autumn Winter 2014 preview of Superdry at their Central Square BGC branch. It's also my first time at Superdry, so aside from their new collection, I decided to take a photo of the things that I fancied in the store. Good thing the event was pretty chill. :)

My favourite from their store. :) Love this mason jar lights!
My date :)
The Superdry AW14 Collection is a fusion of textures, detail and quality in the brand's strongest range to date. Adorned pieces, luxe leather and artisan selvedge denim continue to push the boundaries. A mix of textures across the collection work in an autumnal palette with bright bursts, shearling detail and winter-ready linings.

Want to see more? :) Read more >>>>>>>>>>>>

In womenswear, the biker look is a key inspiration, seen in panelled Biker Super Skinny jeans and the luxurious Super Long Biker jacket. Soft shearling ramps up the boho winter vibe in everything from outwear to footwear. Luxe touches come in the form of hand-beading, metallic embellishment and soft leather.

More often than not, I associate Autumn Winter collections with dark colours. Maybe it's because most people wear black or grey. But looks like I'm loving Superdry's collection! More more colours and neon brights!

For men, timeless sartorial style comes to the fore in impeccably cut outerwear in a wide range of styles and weights, featuring classic detailing in leather and shearling. A lesson in casual luxury comes in the form of the heritage designs in the SD Gym Equipment and Copper Label Goods collections. Denim purists will opt for Copper Label Selvedge while new OrangeDry Denim offers contemporary cuts.

Complementing the apparel collection, women's footwear features eye-catching metallics while men's boots get tough and heroic, inspired by hunting trips and military style. Oversized accessories in soft yarns complete the winter look.

One thing's for sure, Superdry is definitely not stingy when it comes to colours and being a first timer at their shop, I immediately fell-inlove with the prints and hues. :) Now, I guess I can start liking Autumn Winter!

There are a lot more accessories at the store, so be sure to check them out!

I had a great time tonight! It's obvious that I didn't allow rain to get in my way and it was worth it!:) I had a lot of fun looking and the new collection and shopping. Can you guess what I got?

Thank you, Superdry and Nuffnang Philippines for having me!^_^

Hey Mickey!

Before I thought that having a baby boy meant that I could no longer get the chance of dressing them up in cute outfits, that I would be limited to only pants, shorts and shirts. I was right on the pants and shorts part. But I never imagined that I had a lot more options to choose from and SM Kids' Fashion has made it so much more fun for me to dress the boys up. Not only do I enjoy shopping at the children's area, but so does my kids! Awesome, right? It's no longer boring, because they see bright colours, their favourite cartoon characters and even super heroes!

Its been awhile since Athan did an OOTD and when I got this super adorable Mickey Mouse pair from SM Kids' Fashion, I knew I just had to take his OOTD!:) Luckily, he too was so excited about his outfit that he happily agreed to pose!

While taking this shot, he was like, "MOM! Look! I'm a mouse!!^_^" Haha!:) Mickey Mouse was his all time favourite cartoon character as a kid, so no wonder he's ecstatic with his fun hoodie!

Mickey Hoodie & Pants: SM Kids' Fashion

It's so cool that SM Kids' Fashion released the Kids Gone Kawaii Toon Fest 2014 collection. :) I love it to bits! Can't wait to see what I can get for Asher!:)

More about the collection here…

A prominent aspect of Japanese culture, and embraced by the most fashion forward of stylephiles, "Kawaii" is the theme of this year's SM KIDS' FASHION TOON FEST, incorporating bright colours, graphic visuals and everything cute and lovable.

For this stand out collection, three categories take the lead—Princess, Cutie and Hero. Princess goes with a glitzy slant on the trend with playful tutu skirts and pretty tulle dresses matched with princess tees in colourful pastels. Watch out for those hoodies with built-in tiaras, it’s perfect for today's modern little princesses that want to juxtapose their royal style with a little street flair.

Character tees, fun hoodies and vibrant button-downs are the highlights of the Cutie category. Garfield, Snoopy, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and the lovable Sesame Street characters provide an eclectic mix of colours, prints and quirky pieces that will definitely be "conversation-starters" at school or the playground.

Everybody wants to be a Hero—especially if the look comes with head-turning graphics, colourful denims and hip hoodies. Ben 10, The Avengers, Adventure Time and Cars provide items to help show off super style that your kids will surely love and have fun with.
Every piece from the collection carries the quintessential appeal of kawaii trend; looking fun, vibrant, and adorable. With SM Kids’ Fashion Kawaii Toon Fest, dressing up is made more fun and imaginative for the tiny trendsetters. See the collection with your kids at the SM Store.

Marc Coblen Pink Ribbon Watch

Filipinos are very active when it comes to supporting a good cause and with October fast approaching, everyone ispreparing for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During October, there are usually fun-runs, concerts, charity auctions, and medical missions to help facilitate check-ups and treatments for women who have breast cancer.

Though there are several means for people to help, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done in the Philippines. According to the Philippine Cancer Society, a staggering percentage of Filipinas have a difficult time paying for their treatment, while others are too nervous to continue with theirs. In fact, some Filipinas prefer to ignore the importance of an annual breast check-up and refuse to seek treatment once diagnosed with breast cancer. The Philippine Cancer Society espouses that there is a lack of awareness, access to treatment, but more importantly, the basic knowledge that breast cancer is curable.

This is where Marc Coblen, a Dutch brand created by JordyCobelens, the same founder of the well-known timepiece TW Steel, comes in to create a change – and a fashionable one at that. Echoing the mantra, “it’s time to change,” Marc Coblen urges women to take a proactive stance against breast cancer and change their mindset about what it is and how to overcome it. Inline with the Breast Cancer Awareness program, Marc Coblen has collaborated with the Philippine Cancer Society’s Best Dressed Women of the Philippinesand Lucerne,to create a special edition watch called the Pink Ribbon Watch. A generous portion of the proceeds of all Pink Ribbon Watch sales will be donated to the efforts and activities of the Philippine Cancer Society in providing consultation and treatment to women with breast cancer all over the country.

The Pink Ribbon Watch showcases a 48mm pink Mother of Pearl face with a small Swarovski encrusted pink ribbon. The watch is encased in a Rose Gold finish steel case with pink baguette Swarovski crystals on its interchangeable bezel and uses a pink silicon interchangeable strap with a rose gold clasp.

The special edition Marc Coblen Pink Ribbon Watch is exclusive to MASTERCARD and will retail at Php 15,000. In light of the partnership, all purchases will entitle the card holder with a white leather strap and a rose gold finish bezel inside a beautiful white leather watch box.

Breast cancer survivors like Patty Betita, Ann Puno, and Liezl Martinez, have stepped up and embraced Marc Coblen’s campaign. They epitomize the several women out there who were diagnosed with breast cancer, but emerged victorious. With all of these strong and beautiful women, they share that the best way to combat cancer is to have the right attitude.

“Breast cancer at its earliest stage is curable,” Patty said, “That’s why it’s important for women to have themselves checked and have their annual mammograms and sonograms because if you detect it early, there’s a 98% chance of survival.” She shared that when she first found out that she had breast cancer, she was in shock. It was one of those things, she said, that you didn’t think could happen to you. “Once you are diagnosed with breast cancer, you are faced with your own mortality,” Patty said. But she found strength in her family, friends, and her unwavering faith in God. She emphasized that it has to be a conscious decision to fight the disease, and to make an educated lifestyle change. “For every cancer survivor, everyday you wake up is a new day,” she said, “Be hopeful, have faith, and you’ll be okay.”

For Liezl, she stressed the importance of finding ways to cope. “There are a lot of support groups out there, if you’re interested in joining,” Liezl said. For her, though, she wasn’t comfortable with being open about it in the beginning. It varies with each person, but she encouraged women to listen to their inner voice and find strength in their lives, whether it be in their family, or their friends. Although she had a chance to go to another country to seek treatments, she sought to undergo treatments in the Philippines instead. “Part of my recovery is to have my family and friends near me,” she said, “I think that’s really important.”

Ann Puno shared these sentiments, and also said that more often than not, overcoming cancer is also in the mind. “The most important thing is to be positive,” she said, “Cancer cells feed on negative feelings.” Ann kept herself strong through the power of prayers, and by surrounding herself with the people she loved most. At times, what also kept her going was the knowledge that other people were praying for her to recover, too.

Patty, Liezl, and Ann, all emphasize the importance of early detection. They also said that above anything else, women should start effecting changes in their lives. Even if a woman is at the pink of health today, these three women advise that it’s always best to still keep annual check-ups on their list of priorities.

“I think that it’s truly time to change,” Ann said, “It’s time to change the way we look at cancer, and we have to stop being fearful in getting check-ups because they mean so much to a cancer patient.” These women have beat down cancer, and urge other women to help each other and build a supportive community. For them, it’s all about recognizing the time to change – and that the best time to do so, is now.

Marc Coblen’s local retail partner in the Philippines, Lucerne, will handle the sale of the Pink Ribbon Watch in all Marc Coblen points-of-sales, namely: Marc CoblenPop-up store at Century City Mall,Lucerne Shangri-La,Swissgear(Greenbelt 1 & SM Cebu) and Wristpod (Megamall, Clark, Rockwell).

A beautiful day for a wedding!

I love weddings. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew this already. I want to be that beautiful bride that walks down the aisle and see the love of her life waiting for her at the altar. I want to have a reception filled with friends and family. I want to have an AVP that people will gush at and maybe get teary with when they watch as they eat their dinner. I want to have my dream wedding someday. I can be a hopeless romantic when it comes to weddings. It's a beautiful affair and it makes you believe that there is such a thing as true love. I guess that's why I always cry when I see proposal videos and wedding videos. ^_^ Oh love!

Until now, even if I already had my civil wedding, I still want to have a church wedding someday. No matter what it takes and how long it takes. I want to fulfil that dream and allow God to bless our marriage. :)

Last Friday, I attended my very first church wedding from our CSA high school batch. It was one of the most beautiful events I've ever attended and I'm so happy I got to witness it. Here's my photo diary of the event...

I don't really like wearing makeup. If I can avoid it, I would. But when it comes to my hair, that's a different story. For me, if my hair looks fab, nothing else matters! haha!:)) I got my and the best friend's hair fixed by BLO. They did an amazing job with my hair. My funky ombre really popped out! Thank you so much, BLO SM MoA!

The theme of the wedding was pastel, so naturally we came in our best pastel attire!:)

The Hubby had work that day, so my date was none other than Athan. :) He too wore a pastel orange polo. :) He looks spiffy!:)

While waiting for the wedding to start… picture picture with the friends and high school friends I haven't seen in forever!

The BFFs!:)

Nicole, Elise, Me, Nickie and Raphi :)

With the two lovely bridesmaids; Nicole and Elise. :) I love the colour that Ana and Mark chose for their wedding; mint green and light pink!:) Oh and the flower arrangements are so gorgeous!!!

Finally, the most beautiful girl that day!:) Loving her elegant gown by Cecilio Abad.

"You may now kiss the bride!"…. Sigh… ^_^ Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Hilario!! Wuhoooo!!!

Mabuhay ang bagong kasal!!!:)

I've been showing the front of my dress in the past photos, but really, guys, the highlight of my dress is at the back. Bringing sexy back! hahaha hohoho!!=P Got this dress from SM Woman. :)

With my other girl, Keigh who also looks dashing in her Trishka Puno gown. :)

Keigh, Me and Nickie :)

The reception was held at Shangri-La Makati and the set up was heaven!!:) To beautiful for words! I know I've said "beautiful" so many times already. But how can you not?? Just by looking at the pictures I'm sure you'll agree!:)

Obligatory photo with the pretty bride!:) Thank you so much, Ana for having me and Athan at your wedding! I only have praises for it! May you and Mark have a happy marriage and may God bless you always. :)

Ladies in pastel.. :)

Can't wait for my own wedding someday. Time to save up big time!!! hahaha!:)) In God's perfect time. :)

Congratulations again, Ana and Mark!!!

Slammin' time at Slammin' Mini Burgers

$

I'd like to think that one of the reasons why I'm not a huge burger fan is because of its size. Most burgers come in a big solo size and more often than not, I get overwhelmed with just the same taste. I can name only a few restaurants that have caught my heart when it comes to burgers even if they come in big sizes. But there's this one burger joint that I found so cute - in terms of size and it's Slammin' Mini Burgers + Fries + Dips over at Market Market!:)

By just reading the name of their restaurant, you would have already guessed that the burgers come in mini size. But don't let the restaurant's name fool you. "Mini" doesn't mean bite-sized; in fact, two Mini Burgers add up to more than your average quarter-pound burger, and three is more than a 1/3-pound burger. That means that even if you're dining here solo, you're sure to get your fill. And if you want to mix and match burgers with your barkada, you'll have healthy portions of each kind. After all, bingeing on burgers (or anything, really) is more fun with your friends.

Last Thursday was my day off from school, so I decided to meet up with two of my best friends and bond with them together with my boys. :) Since we haven't tried Slammin' Mini Burgers yet, we gave it a go!:) For some reason, the kids loved the plaque cards the most haha!

If you watched the movie Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, you would definitely be familiar with their mini burgers (that movie makes me hungry whenever I watch it!) and that's how Patrick Dy, Slammin's president came up with the concept! Cool, right?:)

Our order: Two Slammin' Cheese, Bacon N' Mushroom meal w/ blue lemonade, fries and cheesy dip and Crispy Chicks. :)

If you want a fuss free burger, you can keep it simple with the Slammin' Cheese. As for me, I love bacon on almost everything, so I had the Bacon N' Mushroom. These two along with the All American Slider are their bestsellers.

Can you guess who enjoyed Slammin' the most? Here are the many faces of Asher munching on Slammin' Mini Burgers and Fries...

With every bite he utters, "Hmmmmm!!"

Ahem! May cheese ka pa sa labi, anak! Love you!! hehe!=P

And this little boy who only wants cheese on his burger is loving his Slammin' Cheese. :)

If you want something more adventurous when it comes to your food, you can try out Slammin's Black Box Creations. They're limited-edition mini burgers made with extraordinary ingredients--and they're only on the menu for six months. :)

Apart from all these, they also have great add-ons like their Slammin' Wings and the Beer-Battered Fish and Chips. :)

Bottom line, we had a slammin' lunch! I actually can't wait to bring my husband next. :) Oh and if you're tired of popcorn and hotdogs during your movie dates, why not try this for a change?:)

On a last note, I totally regret that I wasn't able to try their Slammin' Iceburgs! Grrrr!!! A good reason for me to come back again! Hehehe!:)

You can find Slammin’ Mini Burgers + Fries + Dips at the ground floor of the new wing of Promenade Mall in Greenhills.; at Food Choices, Level 2, Trinoma; on the fifth floor of Market! Market!, near the cinema area and. A fourth branch is slated to open in Robinsons Magnolia in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Violet

To have a daring hair colour was only but a dream for me before. It feels so surreal that I now have violet hair. If you're a Viber user, you must be familiar with the sticker 'Violet'. I've been so fond of using her every time I Viber with my best friend and now I guess it's just but fitting that I do cos we have something in common! She's my official Viber character!:)

Can you say we kinda look alike? I'm actually jealous of her cos she has a much lighter violet tone. haha! I kid!;)

So again, its been forever since my last OOTD and I do apologize for that. I just can't seem to find the perfect time for it. I really do try. That's why when I woke up early this morning, I told myself that it's time for a new one! It's a must!! Luckily, when I wake up as early as 7AM, the Hubby can take my photos.

As usual, I'm wearing shorts. I feel like it's already my uniform whenever I take Athan to school. Waiting for him for 4 hours at their playground can be really hot. Hence, the shorter the shorts, the better, but not the kind that seems like you ran out of cloth and your lower cheeks are semi-visible. Pet peeve!!>_<

This is just a chill outfit!

top: aeropostle
shorts: romwe
sunnies: vintage rayban
sandals: birkenstock

Oh and BTW, speaking of Violet and daring hair colours, I got a retouch! And boy oh boy! The violet really sticks out! I thought it was going to turn into a magenta-ish hue again like my last one. But to our surprise, the violet really showed this time around. :) I guess it helped that my hair kinda faded from Magenta to pink before I had my colour done again. :) Thank you so much, Azta Urban Salon at SMDC Jazz Mall for the awesome job!! You guys are so skilled and amazing!

Nothing much has happened to me lately. Still the same old stuff; Go to school, do mommy stuff, attend events and blog. I did however receive good news last Friday and I'm absolutely positively excited for it!!^_^ I don't wanna divulge the details here yet, cos I might jinx it haha! I'll just randomly announce it when it's super near the date. :) As of now, all I'm hoping for is that it pushes through and that good weather graces us in the Philippines all throughout this week. Please, Lord!^_^

Anyhoo, back again to this week's daily grind! Have a great week ahead, guys!!

My family and I love Shakey's. My mom was the first person to ever introduce me to it, so growing up and until now with my own kids, we never fail to eat there at least twice or thrice a year. It just brings back so much childhood memories and not to mention really good food!:) My youngest son Asher even had his 1st birthday party last year at Shakey's!:) The theme was Justice League and it was just beyond cute!

Shakey's today is still offering a Justice League themed party, but now they have the Justice League Unlimited party package, inclusive of signature dishes, activities, and even props that will further enliven the gathering. Mind you, they even encourage guests to dress up for the party!

As for the Shakey's food packages on Justice League Unlimited, the platter of delights that will be served will surely make everyone happy, most especially the host of the party; by feasting on the complete set meals of favourite menu items from Shakey's. :)

Here's Package A, B and C for your reference…

You also have Birthday Party Amenities, like JLUC Invitation Card, Lootbag, Activity Book, Double Head Crayons, Emblem Head Gear and Cape, Birthday Party Signature Poster and game prizes. All in the Justice League theme! :)

The family and I attended the official launch of the Justice League Unlimited and it was so much fun! It's like attending a real birthday party! Here's a photo diary of what happened…

For the record, we didn't want to be rebels by dressing up in Marvel costumes, wherein this was obviously a DC party. But we didn't have anything else, so we proceeded with our Iron Man and Captain America getup! =P Cute naman diba?? Makes up for our mistake! haha!

Now you can have an idea on how your child's party will look like if you avail of the Shakey's Justice League Unlimited. :) Of course, I think the candy corner, face paint and Photo Booth already have additional charges. :)

Fun games for the kids! Team Superman / Iron Man! haha!:) Athan's team won the first game! Yey!

They also got to meet the four mascots of Shakey's!:) My forever favourite is Pizza guy!:)

And finally, Shakey's' very own gigantic pizza!!!:)

So, if you're still on the lookout for the perfect venue for your kid's birthday party, look no further!:) Try out the cool Shakey's JLU packages and bring in the Good Times and celebrate memories-- book your kid's party now and let their favourite superheroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League join in the revelry for a celebration that will truly be one for the books!

When I attended the launch of Uno de 50 beginning of this year, I was so excited. It's one of the known fashion accessories brand in Spain and I was delighted to be one of the first few people to see their first store opening at SM Aura. :)

Now, fast forward to October, I believe they now have three stores in total; SM Aura, SM Mall of Asia and now at SM Megamall, which was the store that I recently visited for the Uno de 50 Bloggers shopping day!:)

Care to see more of the Uno de 50 collection at SM Megamall? :) READ MORE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The SM Megamall store is much bigger compared to the SM Aura one, so if you want a more spacier place to shop or maybe see more of the collection, you can come by and visit this branch. :) I have yet to visit the one at SM MoA and I already should! I'm so near that mall compared to the other two haha!=P

I also went with Athan again to this intimate event since he's already familiar with the brand. :)

As usual, I have been dazed by all the pretty silver accessories that Uno de 50 has. The craftsmanship is just impeccable! I especially fancy the heart shape; it has the touch of handmade when you look at with all the bumpy surface. :)

While looking around the store, I saw these earrings and they're so pretty!! Perfect for effortless outfits and you just want a piece of accessory to stand out, this would be it!:)

State of a confused girl-- "Hmm… A ring or a bracelet?…." What do you, guys think?:)

The rings have Swarovski stones on them, so you can be assured that it's really a keeper!;)

More of the Uno de 50 accessories that caught my attention...

I was surprised to see that they have these super adorable keychains. I don't know if they also have them at SM Aura, but during the opening I didn't really spot any. I love the button w/needle and little girl from this bunch!:) Cuteeeee!!

And finally, here's what I got. :) It's called PIM bracelet. I was told that the dragonfly meant good luck. :) I've been wearing it everyday now. :) It's my new staple accessory aside from my watch.

Thank you, Uno de 50 and Ms. Rochelle Romero for inviting me to this!:) I had a great time!:)
